About this Vehicle:

This 7mm ("O" Gauge) kit represents a Great Western Railway six wheeled milk van (O4)

This was a six wheeled vehicle. It was developed for the transportation of milk in churns. It was also used for transporting fish. It was a  popular design.

Thys kit is made from MDF with detail components etched into card overlays and 3D printed components including a roof, axleboxes and brake components.

These vehicles were modified over their lifetimes in keeping with applicable regulations. In general it is advisable to have access to a good reference work with photographs. A book was written on the development of these vehicles: “Great Western Siphons” (by Jack N. Slinn, Pendragon books 1986 in association with the Historical Model Railway Society). The book describes and enumerates these vehicles in detail
