  • The lastest version of GN04-W001 10 ton brake van has 3D printed solebars, buffers and roof.
  • Underside if GN04-W001. This light 10 ton van only had brakes on one side of the vehicle, actuated inside the cabin. Over two hundred lasted into grouping.

  • Another variation is the 20 ton six wheeled brake van (GN04-W008)
  • And ... for comparison.. The 20 ton eight wheeled brake van (GN04-W007) which lasted until nationalisation.
  • Construction begins by assembling the inner partitions. Note that the floor is positioned with the plank detail uppermost. It is quite difficult to paint the inner surfaces once the parts are assembled.
  • The inner cabin has been assembled with PVA glue and allowed to dry thoroughly. this forms a firm base to which the sides of the van can be attached.
