Carriage Bogie kits

**Updated** This kit makes a single carriage bogie to match our 4mm bogie coach products. These bogies permit our kits to be used on radiuses of about 2 feet (500mm) without extensive modifications to the kits. This kit consists of 3d printed parts made from PLA-CF which is sturdy and environmentally friendly.

GN04-W006 Perishable Goods Van

GN04-W006 GNR Perishable Goods VanThese express vans were fully fitted. They were used for the transfer of lard,butter and fruit. Vans of a similar design were used for the rapid transfer of other perishable cargoes. They were originally given "teak" livery for inclusion in passenger trains. Although there were not many examples of this vehicle type, it does add atmosphere with its distinctive clerestory roof.. 3D printed printed roof, solebars and buffers included.

GN04-W005 GNR Express Goods VanThese express vans were fully fitted. There were approximatley 286 vehicles maintained by the company.

Vans of an similar design were used on the Cheshire Lines Committee (CLC) and Midland & Great Northern (M&GN). The kit includes 3D printed roof, buffers and solebars.

GNR Parcels Fruit and Milk Van (4mm scale)

The GNR produced a small number of six wheeled parcels fruit and milk vans to diagram 331. Some of these vehicles survived to be renumbered as LNER vehicles. The vans featured a clerestory roof. This model is an unusual and interesting addition to a layout.  GN04-D331-TK Parcel Fruit & Milk Van

GNR 20 ton 6 wheeled Brake Van (GN04-W008)

This model represents the 6 wheeled  version of the Great Northern brake van which was manufactured with horizontal planking. It was used on heavy goods and mineral traffic. An interesting and unusual model for an early theme layout, the brake van lasted until grouping and beyond.. Our kit features 3D printd roof, solebars and buffers GN04-W008

GNR 20 ton Brake Van (GN04-W007)

 

The GNR brake van type that this model is based on  the 8 wheeled version with vertical planking. Sixty vehicles were introduced in 1913-1914 for mineral traffic. It is a versatile and interesting vehicle that will complement any layout from pre-grouping until nationalisation and beyond.
These vehicles were long lived there were still 46 in service in 1948, with some lasting into the 1960's. Our kit features 3D printed roof, solebars and buffers GN04-W007
